Adding a switch to the dash

Has anyone added an decent looking OEM style switch to the dash / centre console?

I want to add a simple switch to control the power to a bit of kit, but I don't want it to look out of place and obvious.

Any suggestions (and even part numbers!) very greatfully received...

Re: Adding a switch to the dash

The row of switches in the dash seem to be designed to occupy the given position, so for instance the front parking sensor one only fits that slot.

I'm not sure about all of them but I know the parking sensor one isn't a latching switch.

Re: Adding a switch to the dash

Aren't all of the central console switches 'soft switches' as in they don't really switch but merely send a switch command to whatever is being controlled i.e. ESP, TPM etc?

The only other choice is a toggle swith of some desription but it will need to be out of sight or it will look crap.

Re: Adding a switch to the dash

What about modifying a plastic blank so it can push back and hiding a spring switch behind it. You could then latch that, but you won't gain a light to show it's on.

Re: Adding a switch to the dash

What about poping it in the coin holder near the drivers right knee? Doesn't matter what the switch looks like then!

Might not meet the requirement you are after but a suggestion all the same!
