| Re: Advice Both are "regular" fitment for that size wheel on an octavia. 225 will have more tread on the ground, so in theory should be a bit grippier than the same tyre in 205/50.

| Re: Advice Just had a look on Skoda "UK" no mention of what tyres would be fitted to 17" alloys. Not sure if Euro spec is differant. |

| Re: Advice Standard Skoda fit on all 17" alloys is 225/45 R17. It's the same on the vRS, Superb Elegance and new L+K, so I guess this is what Skoda would recommend. The only difference might be speed rating, as the vRS has a higher top speed than the others. I'm guessing you would need V-rated tyres, as this goes up to 149mph. H-rated tyres only go up to 130mph.
