Re: air con octy 11

I have found this too in the recent or should i say past hot temperatures but obviously turning the AC on certainly cools things right down. The normal air is coming from outside so will not feel cold like Air Con.

Re: air con octy 11

I made a similar post about this over the weekend.
I'm a new vRS owner and really enjoying the car.

I traded in my 2004 Peugeot 307 and I'm going to be honest - the AC was a lot better in the Peugeot.
If I set it to coldest setting (no temperatures, not that advanced) and then put the blower on say 2, AC on, within minutes it would be icy cold in my car.
To the point where I would have to switch the AC off and just have "regular cooling".

Did the same on my vRS, set it to the blue square (not the lowest temeprature of 18oC), pressed AC on, turned the blower to 2 (and then 3) and the air temperature was just so warm compared to my old Peugeot.
On the drive home I actually had a small sweat on my brow I couldn't shift.
I'm speaking to the dealer at the moment as I want them to check it out for me.
It could be that the AC just is nowhere near as good as the Peugeot's - it just surprises me if that is the case.

Re: air con octy 11

Sounds like either you have an a/c fault or a temp flap motor issue.

Re: air con octy 11

I had to take mine in after 8k, needed regassing for some reason, think might have to take back to get checked for leaks. Regas worked though. Got mine done on warranty.

Re: air con octy 11

I spoke to the dealer where I got mine from and was told that from the sound of things there was a problem.
It's obviously difficult to describe "not cold enough" over the phone
I'm going back a week on Saturday and they are going to run some tests and see if any work needs doing.
Scary if AC units need work after only 15k miles.
My old Pug 307 that I just traded in had 62k miles and had only one re-gass at around 30k and was still ice cold when AC was switched on.
