| Difficult to know which forum to reply in!! I've decided to reply in this one. Mine did exactly the same thing. I unlocked it one day and the alarm went off - couldn't stop it. After a while it seemed to get tired and shut up. Every time I locked it after that the LED stayed on for a long time before starting to flash. I took it to the dealers, who showed me the VAG-COM error report saying the alarm horn was 'no longer communicating'. They've since replaced the alarm horn, but the LED still stays on for about 30seconds before starting to flash. I haven't tested whether the alarm is actually OK, but you're not alone!
