|  Brake lights on, nobody in! This morning I went out to my Octavia to find the brake lights on, car locked up, nobody in. Unlocked it, fired the engine up and pumped the brake pedal which got rid of the brake lights. Engine off, locked up and no brake lights. Anybody come across this fault before? I really can't be bothered to go to the dealers today on my day off but don't want a flat battery if they should happen to come on again in the middle of the night!

| Re: Brake lights on, nobody in! I think a dealer visit is enevitable, you can't take risks with safety equipment such as brake lights.

| Re: Brake lights on, nobody in! This is a common problem on a5 platform cars. It causes battery to go dead too. Go to your dealer. |
