| CD Changer and Icelink... I've seen a couple of posts on here regarding this issue but was wondering if anyone has actually done this modification (i.e. a switch that will swap between ipod and cd changer). Also, is there a part that will act as a socket for the CD changer plug as I don't really want to cut any cables if I go ahead and would rather just extend the circuits with a switch assembly that has sockets for both the ipod and changer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

| Re: CD Changer and Icelink... OK. Having received my icelink and looked at the connector im pretty confident i can make some sort of pcb for the 2 connectors from the changer and the icelink with a switch built into it and a cable coming out of the switch to the hu. Only problem is i don't really know what needs to be disconnected to when switchin between the two - obviously the left and right audio signals but what else? anyone hae any ideas? also, anyone know the part number of the cd changer plug (if they can be bought separately that is)? |

| Re: CD Changer and Icelink... I read a little while ago about an open source project that does exactly what you are proposing. Can't remember the site but it was American and Passat IRIC.
