| I found how to change the central locking mode using Maxidot. SWMBO didn't like the default of one click to undo driver's door and another one to undo the rest, so asked me to change it. Having done this she still says it doesn't work ![]() It certainly works with my key. Do I have to do this separately for each key? I guess that there is a certain logic if that is the case, as two drivers might want different settings. |

| Somone mentioned it might be a 2007MY thing. I can't comment any further than to say my 2007MY car has the feature. It is adjustable using VAG-COM.

| Hi John, If you have the 2007 year Octy there will be a "Supplement to the Operating Manual" which had "Technical Changes 05-2006" on the cover. This I have to say only hints at what you do to make these changes However assuming you have Maxidot Press and hold the button on the end of the indicator stalk. This should bring up the Maxidot Main Menu. Use the end button again as an up/down selector to move down to "Setup" Then press the select button on the underside of the stalk. This displays the "Settings Menu" select "Convenience" Then select the "Door open" item You then have choices, "Single door", "Auto Open" and "Auto Close". Single door was selected by default. (Arrow showing to the left) To get the remote to unlock all the doors select "Single door" and the arrow goes. To enable automatic locking of all the doors (anti hijack mode) select "Auto Close", an arrow appears on the left to show it is active. You then move back through the menus to the start and it's done. I first set the Auto close option only as SWMBO had requested that also (dodgy town Ipswich ) and assumed that the doors would unlock on removing the key (handbook page 46)However you have to set that option separately, continue as above and move to "Auto Open" and select that. Hope this is reasonably clear. |

| Further information I have now checked SWMBO's key and can confirm that these settings are individual to the key ! I have been through the whole setup thing again so that her key works as she wants it, and now all is well ![]() |
