Default Climate control - how does it work?

Hi all,

I have had my vrs diesel for about a month now, all very well. I can't quite work out what the difference is when the econ button is lit up and the auto is lit up. It seems strange they can be lit up together. Also when it is on auto and I change the fan speed, the auto light goes out. I have yet to find a setting that gives me an icy blast not that I have needed it too much so far. Any info in layman's terms would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

PS I have read the book - several times!

Econ mode basically dissengages the compressor, so a/c is effectively off.

Auto is just that, it will control fan speed, temperature and direction to try and match the temp set on the controls.

If you adjust the fan speed its a manual input so auto turns off.

thanks, things are a little clearer now. If I want cold air with plenty of fan, what do I do?

cold, or air conditioned air?

fan all the way to the right, "econ" on (or off for a/c on)

Set the temperature to low and turn the fan up. it will just stay like that. If you want it to regulate a lower temp set it to 18 and hit auto. However as the ambient temp isnt anywhere near as warm as 18 degrees at the moment you probably wont get to much cold coming out.
