Question a couple of questions

hi,guys, my car is running as one poster put it "lumpy" when idling . i can feel my seat shaking and quivering at idle any ideas ?.also the engine occasionally gives out a tick tick ticking sound bit like a diesel sound again at idle and a press of the accelerator clears it again any ideas?. (06 1.6 fsi) cheers john

If you only drive round town, and/or make short journeys, try some BP ultimate (whole tank full) or redex when you next fill up.

i filled up six or seven times with shell helix super 98 and did not detect any better running than with bog standard 95 ron so i'm back to using 95 and my wallets feeling better also. so i dont think the petrol is the cause of my lumpy running. cheers anyway john

Get back to the dealer and see if there any fault codes or if its due an ECU update.
