Unhappy Creaky steering

Just been searching through old threads for some advice regards creaky steering. My new VRS has it, left hand when pulling away . Is it easily sorted, is it a safety risk to leave it until the first service. It's not too much of a problem, I just dislike these little gremlins.

Re: Creaky steering

Its easily sorted, get onto your dealer straight away. Not a safety risk though.

Don't quote me but I was told there was a modified rack for that problem. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong . The dealer demo suffered from it but mine is okay, for now anyway.

Re: Creaky steering

Off topic a little nut still steering related, anyone find the weighting on the steering fluctuate noticably. I could be wrong but I could have swore theres been a couple of times where its went heavy - light - heavy while turning bends etc. Not at speed, just normal driving.
Sometimes went turning at low speed I have also found it, seems to be more noticable.

Re: Creaky steering

I find the same light - heavy-light effect at low speeds and also get occasional strange noises - will wait for it's first service 6800 miles according to the service indicator.
