| Whilst mine is in being repaired I asked the dealer to check if it's compatible for the dealer fit Cruise Control, yes it is, so at least by the end of this week I will be cruise controlled up as well The price came in at a smidgen under £150 fitted, well worth the cash I would say. Fluff' |

| I have been following this quite closely myself. I spoke a dealer yesterday who said that all Octy II CC retrofits were stopped until further notice. I have the instal instructions for the Golf MK5, which I believe will be similar, and it is only suitable for cars with the multifunction steering wheel at the moment. Be interested to see how yours goes.

| Yes I know. There are part numbers for the non multifunction kits but when I enquired these weren't yet released.

| I have the latest Octavia accessories catalogue (arrived yesterday) and it shows cruise control as a dealer fit accessory for £60 plus fitting (Part no BEA 600 002). It does not mention that it is only compatible with the multi-function steering wheel.

| I am keen to get this fitted to mine (its the one thing I miss not having that was on my old one) and have had simlilar responses from two dealerships in that they say that there are problems with retro fitting cruise control so until those issues have been dealt with this option is not available at present. I Will be following this with interest.

| £60 is the right price for the kit designed for cars fitted with Multifunction steering wheel. The other steering wheel requires another interface which is going to put the price up I think.

| What about the Fabia? Anyone had that done - if so prices would be good. Lots of motorway miles makes me want it retro fitted...

| I just called the stealer. My Cruise is being fitted as we speak, £146.97 inc vat and fitting. Mine is only fitted with Xenons and 18" Rims as extra's (no jumbo box or dual zone etc), NO Multi function steering wheel. Apparantly I have the right control module for it on the car, so I am getting the modified left hand stalk with the cruise buttons on it and it's being hooked up through the CAN. I am collecting it tomorrow night (After bitching with SUK but thats another story) so will post a pic of it and let you know if it's working ok when zapping back over the M62. Fluff' |

| Great news mate - bet your glad to have it. I've done a bit more research today for Octy II and it is dependant on which control unit you have, nothing to do with the MF steering wheel. FWIW the Golf kit supplied for use with the MF steering wheel is still controlled by the stalk and not the wheel - it is control unit specific.

| Had cruise retro fitted to my Octy VRS estate on Wednesday - Fantastic!! Cost £150 dealer fit. Well worth the money. The resume function is great and stops the speeding tickets I hope!
