| Swithed on the dash lights for the first time on my 05 octy. Have to say I was a bit disapointed by the boaring green light setup. I was expecting the red & blue like the usual VW dash. Has anyone heard of the light colour being changed and how hard was it. |

| Re: dashboard lights I like the green light TBH, the plue/purple affair isn't too good on the eyes on long drives. Thats only my personal opinion before anyones starts a: ![]()

| Re: dashboard lights There is a DIY guide here for the 'old' Octavia but unfortunately the photos have gone missing during recent major changes affecting Briskoda.

Thats why most cars use green dash lighting. Anyone remember computer monitors before full colour was available? Thats right, green text on a black background.

| Re: Dashboard lights Last time I hired a golf, I had to put a duster over the instrument panel at night (even with the illumination turned down) as I found it impossible to look at even out of the corner of my eye! |

| Re: Dashboard lights Once you've driven it in the dark i think you'll be pleasantly surprised. The illumination in the Octavia is very very good.
