Unhappy First wash and repairing aerial rubber damage

I cleaned my new Octavia vRS yesterday and despite following the advice from Polished Bliss I didn't get as good a job as I had hoped for. I'll have to work on my technique and get some decent drying products next time.

The wheels look great after some decent brake dust removal and tyre shine but what doesn't look so great is some damage to the aerial rubber housing caused by a football landing on the roof a couple of weeks ago. Obviously I was annoyed at the time but the damage is minimal in that the once black rubber has been smudged and now has white friction marks on it.

Can anybody recommend a product that I can use to repair this and return it to its former colour? Shoe polish is not an option.

Peanut Butter!! - but for obvious reasons don't use the crunchy type!! Something to do with the oil in it, much better than BACK to BLACK or similar.

I find wd-40 pretty good at that sort of thing.
