| A local taxi meter fitter fitted my meter for me and had to remove nearly all the bits of the dash around the radio and speedo just to get at the pulse wire located under the steering column, is there any other way of doing this. ![]() On the MK1 the pulse was on the back of the radio so it was strait forward. |

| It enables that when the vehicle is moving the meter starts to calculate distance and senses the vehicle moving. When the vehicle is stationary it just sits in stationary mode.

| The meter knows when the vehicle has stopped so calculates and moves slower as opposed to moving.

| When you stop at a junction or traffic lights a clock takes over, all modern meters work on time and distance |

| Very easy to remove the dash insert if you need access to the back of it, two screws and two flat tools - I use 6" rulers.

| beaten to it. it needs to work in this way as if you sitting in a jam the driver still needs to earn his wages and pay his fuel, same if you ask him to stop outside a newsagents to get a newspaper as the time sat waiting he could be off on another job. |

| Halda M12 mounted on the middle air vent fascia, above the radio, so that there will be no screw holes as the fascia can be replaced at selling time. I was hoping that someone would have a photo of where to connect the pulse wire under the bonnet |

| I can't see why connecting behind the dash wouldn't work.
