Floor mat fixings Purchased my VRS last year and it came supplied with mats, however they were not VRS ones, just black with grey trim and were slightly dirty. Since the weather has started to brighten up, I decided to buy a new set. They were new but got a discount as the bag was open and the fixings were missing. Thought it wasn't a problem as I could just attach them to the twist fixings already in the car. Got the mats home today and it seems that the holes are in slightly different positions on some of the mats. Front passenger fits perfectly, drivers just fits but is perhaps 10mm too close to the door, but the rear two will not fit as the fixings are too far apart and positioned in the wrong place. My question is, how do the fixings attach to the floor/carpet of the car and can they be easily moved for my new mats? Thanks for any help. Nick.

Re: Floor mat fixings There are two types of vRS logo'd mats (both accesories and not standard with the car) Twist and Stud fitting. you have obviosluy got the opposite to the ones in your car. It doesn't really matter, the rears are not logo'd anyway (identical to the original ones in black...although why you have grey is odd?) ?koda Accessories Did you buy your car new? Rgs Chris

Re: Floor mat fixings The mat fixings just screw into the carpet. Unscrew them while pulling upwards. HTH.

Re: Floor mat fixings Just to clarify, they are twist fixings but the hole mounts on the new mats are in different positions slightly when compared to the old mats. Only slightly, but meant that I couldn't attach the new ones, hence the reason for needing to move them. The good news is that, after a bit of effort, I was able to remove the fixings and put them in their new positions. The mats I had initially did not have the VRS logo, and the drivers was a different shape at the bottom (stuck out more), other than that, the same only dirty. Thanks for the replies and help.
