| So, I've had my vRS now for two whole weeks, and what happened? A silly 81tch ran into the rear . I wan't in it, far from it. I was putting my son in his car seat and swmbo was putting the buggy in the boot. We heard a car skidding behind us and there she was, skidding towards swmbo! Luckily, swmbo jumped, and I do mean jumped, out of the way as a Punto slammed into the back of my car! That wasn't bad enough, but then she decided to do a runner . Words fail me about how I felt, I can tell you. Swmbo has a badly cut leg and bruised hand and shoulder. The car is driveable but badly marked. We have been told who it might be, so, I'll keep you posted. |

| The W.O. bumped a 2 week old Octavia estate today in Halifax. Her foot slipped of the brake pedal. If it's anyone on here I apologise for her unreservedly. Bumping cars seems to be her main hobby atm though. I wish she'd bite her nails instead ![]()

| Get it reported to the police ASAP that way the fecker can be invited into a police station and then charged for something.

Careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident. Hmm, should see them banned for a while, providing of course that the person isnt already banned.

| Everyone makes mistakes (although, touch wood, I haven't yet) ... but just driving away, well, that's a bit off Hope your wife recovers and you get the car sorted. Edit: I'm not suggesting Mrs G Just drove off.

| That's really rough. Thank God your SWMBO wasn't badly hurt. There's a saying out here - " better in the metal than in your loved ones"... She must have been badly shaken up after that - hope she's feeling better. Also hope that the person (!!!) who did this gets raked over the coals and that your car gets back to "good as new" at the expense of the Punto-driver's insurance (or better out of their pocket). Take Care Bas

| Update: We called the police straight way and was told that they were on the way. Shortly after, we got a call asking if they could call later or in the morning. Because it was getting late, we said that the morning would be fine, between 9 & 10. At 10:00, swmbo called the old bill and asked where they were. A note on the system wanted her to call in to make a statement. Now, maybe it's me, but, who is the victim here? I don't really mind having to go to the police station to make a statement and report the RTA, but shouldn't they make their minds up? Anyway, without the help of plod, we tracked down the 81tch! It wasn't easy, I can tell you. She's willing to put it through her insurance, and I should think so too! I'll be happy when its all over, but I have that feeling that the ar5e could fall out of it again. Watch this space....... |

| She should put it through her insurance, but you could also inform your insurance that she did originally drove off hoping to get away with it. I would still have reported her to the police. She needs to learn because I bet it won't be the last time she tries it. |

| Take her details to the police as soon as you have made contact with her insurance company. That little c*w needs dragging over the coals and her driving license removed.
