| Re: Major Fault - Engine Destruction - Possibly Manufacturing/Part Fault - Please Rea I've seen this happen to a mk4 Golf once. The engine was out for maintenance once and a mechanic lost a mount's screw, which was replaced with a bolt that couldn't take the load.

I've been following your story since day one and I had a look at it today again. I was wondering, how has it ended? What was a final verdict? Who's fault was it, at the end of the day? Who has paid for repair? As you have stopped posting since you've got the car back, I waited and waited... It's like watching 24 series whole season and then missing the last episode.

I couldn't say anything because we don't know anything ![]() Nothing about the verdict on the cause Nothing about who paid Nothing about who was deemed at fault All we do know, is that we (my company) didn't pay for it, my Lease Company didn't pay for it and Skoda never admitted any liability And now that other cars seem to be dumping Mounts, it seems that the fault/liability is obvious... ![]() Oh, and i hadn't stopped posting, only in this thread ![]()

| Re: Major Fault - Engine Destruction - Possibly Manufacturing/Part Fault - Please Rea djgritt....Why don't you get the leasing co to contact the insurers to ask what they paid for? That might paint the full story... |

Well, at least, you have your car back. Is everything fine since then? No problems at all?
