Anyone have this enabled and seen it working ?
Is it just for the sunroof or will it also close the windows ?
Is it just when the car is Locked or does it work when the car is running ?
I have the old maxidot without it, I suppose pouring water on rain sensor will show if its on.

Sorry but the rainclosing is only for the sunroof.

It would be nice if it still did it with just the windows, ideal for a hot day.

About the most exciting thing my MaxiDot does is toggle the comfort indicators.

You have forgotten the MFD2 intergration - Compass, Driving Directions, ETA .....

Thats true but I was referring mostly to the bits of the menu that allow you to change stuff like rain closing and the like. The sat nav readout isn't exciting enough

I want some smart *** to make a reversing graphic come up on the maxidot, there is a prize for the first person to do it.

Incidentally Ray, hows the nav unit going these days? all good and well I take it?

I'd be quite happy if I could get the stereo to mute when reverse is engaged.
A display would be better in colour on the nav screen then the maxidot.

Nav units working ok, although its slow and horrible to navigate the map - touch screen would have been better.

TBH the MFD2 is old hat compared to a lot of other systems. My '02 Primera SVE had a DVD birdview system that was fantastic, had a reversing camera as well.

But for £400 or thereabouts I wont complain too much and it does what it says on the tin at the end of the day.

It'll be better when I can watch freeview and DVD's through it though.

Have you seen the very latest MMI system in the Audi RS4?

I'm sure it also does the windows. I left my Aunt in the back of the car with the windows open (raining slightly), popped in the house, came back out and they'd shut!

She said it did it all by itself.
