Maxidot - Am I doing something wrong?

Hi

Had my Elegance for about a week now and from day 2 re-programmed the operation of the remote using Maxidot, so that a single press of the unlock button unlocks all doors, not just the drivers door. All worked fine until yesterday when it has reverted back to factory setting. I've just checked Maxidot and it is still set to All Doors. Am I missing something bl**dy obvious?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Maxidot - Am I doing something wrong?

You could try setting it back to just the drivers door etc and locking it then setting it back, but I'd be talking to a dealer as things changing themselves isn't generally good from the point of computers (eg the ECU).

It might be nothing or a random glitch, but I would probably get it checked anyway on a car inside of warrenty.

Re: Maxidot - Am I doing something wrong?

Just tried the other key and it works fine! Thanks very much Storm Monkey. So, next question is, how do I get both keys to behave in this manner? Do I have to use the current remote (click twice to unlock all doors one!) to set Maxidot option to drivers door, then to set it back to all doors?

Thanks again.

Glen

Re: Maxidot - Am I doing something wrong?

Set each one individually I guess. I have different key fobs, and always use the same key, so set mine as required. Wife hates 1 door unlock, so has hers set differently.

Now if anyon can get memory seats to work off of the key, then I'd be interested!

I followed the instructions once, and it didn't work, but I think I missed an important step - it's something like you have to turn the engine off, but not fully remove the key, and then set the seat memory, and then press a button on the key fob. I tried it all, except either the turning the engine off bit or the setting a new seat memory position, and it didn't work - I keep meaning to try again, but haven't yet bothered.
