Maxidot

This may have been answered before, but I've trawled through the posts and can't find it....

If you have Sat-Nav on an Octavia II, do you get Maxidot? The drivers handbook isn't very helpful, but on the Skoda website, it says that you have to have the Maxidot computer if you order Sat-Nav.

I didn't buy my Octavia new, so I don't know what was optioned, just that it came with Sat-Nav.

Thanks in advance

Neil

Re: Maxidot

If the bit between the dials is a proper screen and tells you things like which door you've left open, you've got Maxidot.
I don't have it and I want it...

Re: Maxidot

It does tell you when the door's open and to fasten your seatbelt - I'll need to investigate what else it can do....

I know the feeling!!! I had a post on here asking if it could be retro fitted (I know the cost will be stupid!) But still want to know if it can be done!?!?

Re: Maxidot

I heard on here that it had been done on a MK 1 (never knew it was even an option on that car) but not heard about MK2. I might ask my dealer later...

Re: Maxidot

Let me know what you find out. I know the dash pod whill not be cheap, but my dealer didn't know (or didn't want to be bothered to find out) if that was the only component that was needed. I suppose there will be a need to change some of the software/settings, but I guess the issue is if the loom is the same.

Any way, good luck, I hope you get some sense out of them?!?
