| Re: MkII Octy vRS Front Bumper Very straight forward, the whole job can be done using just a Torx T20 & T30 & a flat head screw driver. Bumper removal can be done in around 20-30minutes. 1. Remove Headlights 2. Remove the undertray 8xT20 3xT30 3. Unscrew Torx screws along the top of the bumper T20x3 (I think?) 4. Remove push fit fixings by prising out the center pin with a flat head screw driver or something similar. There are a some on both the top and along the bottom edge of the bumper. 5. Remover Torx screws from wheel arch T20x4 (each side) Bumper should be ready to remove but if you have light washers you'll need something to clamp the resevoir pipe or you will have washer fluid all over the floor! Be ready also to unclip fog lights (it does help to have two of you at this point) HTH PS. Why are you wanting to do this, just being nosey! ![]() Last edited by Makefish; 13-04-2008 at 08:23. |

| Re: MkII Octy vRS Front Bumper You don't actually have to remove the undertray but it does make it a little easier for refitting.

| Re: MkII Octy vRS Front Bumper I have just removed the front bumper(Mk2 vRS) and it went like this... 1) open bonnet 2)remove headlights by undoing the knurled plastic nut each side, sliding out the pull handle, the headlight should then pull forward. 3)Undo the 3No. T30 screws along top of bumper 4)Under each headlamp(by the arch) there are top plastic pins, the centre neds to be prised out, then you can removed the pin. "no. each side 5)Each wheel well has 3No.T20 screws 6)To the underside there are three plastic pins, which once again the centres need to be prised out and then removed. 7) Each side there are two more T20 screws. 8) Remove grill sections either side of the main lower grill(on vrs). These have a clip the top left hand side on the right one and top right hand corner of left one so carefully slide in a flat bladed screwdriver... Behind these two cover is 1No. T20 screw Before removing the bumper you should have 7No. Plastic pins, 3No. T30 Screws and 10No. T20 screws. Bumper wil now pull off, but be carefull that mumper corners don't rise and scratch the wings. You will also need to disconnect the fog lamps... Hope this helps peole in the future... Dom |
