Hi folks, I would welcome your input. My Octy 2 estate has just completed 6k. On 410 miles of around town driving I have just got 44.17 MPG (brim to brim not from the car compter). How does that fair with other DSG owners? Thanks in advance

I have an L&K estate DSG with 4k on the clock now. Filled it up today after I brimmed it last week, 430 miles later and 49 litres to full again, which is 40mpg. Computer average says 40.3mpg average from new, I haven’t reset it since. This is a mixture of town and short motorway runs. I was really not happy with this, especially as I used to regularly get 50mpg (computer average) from my 05 2.0 TDI estate. However, when calculating the actual figures it was 500 miles from 50-51 litres, which is 44.5-45.5, so the hit is less than it appears due to an over optimistic computer, although I did drive it quite briskly.

You're lucky to get 44mpg round town. I usually get 38/40mpg and 44mpg on longish trips without too much right foot. It's done 3.5k. Going to Scotland next week; this will be the first really decent trip it's had so will report mpg when I get back.

trip computer on mine states 52mpg but of rough calculation in real terms does just over 10 miles per litre (45mpg). That after 50l miles, mainly open and quiet A road driving

| After 100,000 kilometres I'm getting between 5.75 and 6 litres per 100 km, which converts to 47-49 mpg. Admitted I'm light footed and have a fairly easy run to work (half on quiet country roads, half on motorway before the traffic starts) and I also use cruise control a lot.

Our A5 2.0 140 bhp over 25000 miles which includes towing a caravan of 1350 klg here and on continant plus local runs is 42 mpg. One of my runs to see the children is 85 miles from where we live and the roads used are A21, M25, M11, and betime we get there the computor say's about 68 mpg which does not mean any thing.
