My first Skoda

Hi everyone

My Octavia has arrived and first impressions are wow, had a good run up to Northumberland today, from Lancashire, used A roads a lot to vary the engine speed etc.
The car handles beautifully on its 17" wheels, pretty quiet as well considering, it's arrived with Continental Sportcontact 2's on it.
DSG Box is a revelation although the temptation to boot it nearly caught me out a couple of times today having a drive over Alston.

So, a big thank you to Ants at Simpsons in Colne for the deal, excellent service and very friendly staff...coffee is pretty good too

Need an ipod now to try the socket in the jumbo box, unfortunately was engaged last night it would have been ideal to go on the Blackpool trip..another time.

Simpsons are a fantastic dealership, imho. Although I didn't have much to do with the ordering of the car (co. car) I was desperate for the Octavia as my 3 year old Mondeo was out of MOT. they lent me a Fabia for 3 days so I wasn't without a car whilst we waited for it to arrive (even though it had been our fault for ordering it too late), and when it did arrive one lunchtime, they PDI'd it and waited until 6.15pm for me to get there to collect it.

Been there 3 times for service and warranty work and always been treated well and had the car washed for me before I collected it. I've never tried the coffee. If I asked for a coffee it'd mean Nicola would have to go away and make it so I wouldn't be able to look at her for as long.
