Neuspeed p-flo???

Hi everyone!
I´m from Iceland and i´m new to this forum. I think i´m posting in the right place, well i hope.....

I have an Mk2 and i have done a few mods to the car; Boost gauge, forge BOV, neuspeed p-flo and engine cover.

For the people that have fitted the Neuspped P-flo, did you notice any significant gains??? hp and torque??? i can tell that the engine breaths more freely but i would like to have another opinion, thanks.

I personally think that it sounds awesome and looks pretty good with the carbon fiber engine cover

p.s. forgive my spelling....i´m to used to the Icelandic

Welcome to briskoda...

I have got a P-Flo and a Carbonio, fitted the P-Flo and my "Bum" dyno seemed to think that the car was more responsive. I switched to the carbonio and it feels the same but a little quieter which suits me fine. I am keeping the P-Flo on the shelf just in case I go for anymore substantial tuning and need more airflow as you can get an adapter "tube" now to make it a cai.

Would be interested in seeing where / how your boost guage is fitted as I am currently trying to get an impreza guage pod to mount up in place of the dash top cubby to house some guages.

I have been wondering if the mk5 golf steering column pod would fit the octy.

be nice to see some pictures of your car mate. Shifty will probably drop by in a bit, if it can be done to a mk2, shifty will have done it or trialed it so is full of useful info.

Hi

P Flo - hmm, had some issues with it myself, it's on a shelf at the moment.
Issues aside, the breathing was much better, especially higher up the rev range. Sounds fab too

I'd love to see your boost guage too, where it is mounted, how long to fit etc?

Welcome to the site too

I wonder if this will fit the octy, being from a mk5 golf, it replaces the top steering column cover.

I am slowly getting somewhere with my impreza pod on the octy, maybe get something done over christmas.

would be good to see where our new resident viking has his fitted

Re: Boost Gauge/Neuspeed p-flo???

Hi
Thank for replys!

I forgot to mention earlier that i´ve noticed more consumption (petrol) with the p-flow , is it just me or...?????

Well regarding the boost gauge, this is my first car fitted with a turbo so my knowledge about it was "nada". i did a lot of researsch before the fitment, begining with how to do it and what to buy. I found how to install the boost gauge in "awe-tuning.com" website as they show how to install the gauge on a VW MKV witch has the same engine.

Here is the link:
http://awe-tuning.com/media/pdf/MK5_VW_Vent_Gauge.pdf

i have to say that it is pretty easy, the instructions tell you pretty much everything, as for the parts required i just bought them in a local store that specializes in vacuum/air equipment. The main problem came when thinking about where to put the gauge?? after many days of scratching my head i decided to put it on the left side of the dashboard (above the left vent) "by the way remember that i drive on the wrong side of the road" and it looked very nice. The gauge that i bought is a Auto Meter 30VAC - 20 PRESS

You probably noticed that the gauge is not connected also the reason why i could not show the gauge turned on(iluminated). i can tell you that i had to buy a spare led bulb because the one that came with the gauge did not look very good, but after i fitted the green led it looked nice!

I´ve been thinking of buying to column pod that you mentioned, i called "awesome" (awesome-gti.co.uk) the other day and they said it fits the vRS so as soon as i have the money i think i´ll order it!

i´ll post more pics when i get the pod!

Hi
It looks pretty nice . I was gonna go for the same option but my dealer said that if i removed the OEM engine cover or did any mods to it i´would void the waranty.

Re: Neuspeed p-flo???

Cheers Dave .... you don't waste anytime

Defi do a guage with green backlighting which looks good with the octy, it has a red needle. I wonder how hard it is to change the needle illumination (going off topic I know) red needles would look cool with the green backlight

If you where in the UK, fitting the boost guage would invalidate your warranty, let alone modding the engine cover or fitting the P-Flo. SUK are pretty much summed up by the word Arschloche

Why the change of wheelss on yours mate if you don't mind me asking?

Re: Neuspeed p-flo???

Here in Iceland most people have 2 sets of wheels. One fitted with summer tires and the other with snow tires.

I ordered the vRS with 17´ wheels and winter tyres(pirellis). Then ordered another set of O.Z 18´ with summer tires from tirerack.com.

How does it look???

Superleggeras? Nice wheels. I had some on my fabia at one time, but they give the illusion of looking smaller than they are.

Re: Neuspeed p-flo???

I was thinking they looked small. lovely design but seem to show up a lot more space between the tyre and the arch I thought it was a vRS 4x4 for a mo

Re: Neuspeed p-flo???

I have had that fitting the boost gauge will also void the waranty here in Iceland.

I removed the gauge about two weeks ago because the had to bring the car to the dealer to check a wind noise coming from the rear drivers window and they also checked other things about the car and were not able to tell or see any modifications . I even asked them to point me in the right direction regarding the fittment of a boost gauge, not knowing that i had already installed one and removed it.
