Red, or yellow or blue but definitely not black or silver.

Re: New octy VRS what colour???

Hatch or Estate

I know blue is becoming really common, but imho the hatchback looks great in it.

Re: New octy VRS what colour???

From the vRS Register thread I used to tally up numbers by colour and type (TFSI or TDI); here are the stats (with my opinion) from my last update;-

There are now 270 declared vRS owners. The colour choice is -

Blue - 141
Black - 75
Silver - 30
Red - 16
White - 3
Yellow - 5

Total - 270

Do you want to be a 'sheep' or an individual?

Personally get RED - blue and black are too common.

There has also been a similar thread on this topic recently that can be found here;-

http://briskoda.net/forums/octavia-i...colour/102721/

I hope that all helps.

Oh no! not this question again!

Silver is the way forward - trust me, it's so unfashionable at the moment that next year it'll be all the rage!

Silver... stone chips don't bother you as much and even when it's dirty it still looks clean

I don't have one, but I'd go for the blue. I wouldn't have yellow as too individual and may be more difficult to shift resale time

Re: New octy VRS what colour???

humm thanks guys, i think i'm going to be a bit of a sheep, I have narrowed it sown to either blue or black.

now i like black i have always wanted a black car but i do 30K+ miles a year whats it like to keep clean?

but i also like blue, but to quote my sister you'll look like a boy racer, and only being 22 she may have a point lol.

hummm, understated or striking but not to the point of yellow or red. sorry guys.

Re: New octy VRS what colour???

Depends on if you want the car to stand out as a vRS or be a bit of a Q car.........

Blue makes the car stand out as been special, whereas Silver makes it blend in to the background (until you hit the loud pedal).

I saw a red vRS a few days ago, was really really clean and looked good, I had the choice of a red demonstartor but hadnt got the options on I wanted.

Black is a pig to keep clean on any car but if you garage the car at night that would help.

Re: New octy VRS what colour???

It looks good in every colour IMO. The blue is only available on the vRS so it's obvious what car you have. Black looks mean (but won't look clean for long). Red looks really nice. Yellow looks pretty awesome too, if your brave enough, or go for white to really stand out.

Re: New octy VRS what colour???

I've got a blue vrs, mainly because thats the colour the wife prefered in the toss up between black and Blue.

I bought second hand so had little choice really, given the option on a new car i'd have been tempted with white. It is definitely going to be the colour of fashion this year.

Would have reminded me of my first car as well... a G reg MG Montego

Re: New octy VRS what colour???

I've got a black one and do around 35k a year motorway miles.

Wash it every week and it stays looking clean.

Only trouble is you need to wash it using the two bucket method and dry it after. Failing to do this leaves water marks all over the thing.

Re: New octy VRS what colour???

I have had a blue Audi A4 a silver A3 and a black Vrs Tfsi and drove a white Vrs at work.
If you like washing a car get the black, if not, the blue is the business (In spite of that I got a black L & K)

Re: New octy VRS what colour???

RED!

In all seriousness though, all the colours are great in their own right.

Silver is a bit anonomous, but great for stealth and is low-maintenance.

Blue looks great, but is becomming very common.

Black is very high maintenance to keep looking good, and looks fairly stealthy still...

Yellow is stunning, but a bit shouty

And red suits the car well also, easy to look after, and its a free colour! Turns heads without being yellow
