| Re: New VRs for £14,499 anyone? I think it's all a bit narrow minded. You both seem to mention not having problems with servicing at the main dealers etc. If people didn't buy cars from them there would be no main dealers and hence you wouldn't get your car serviced there. I agree that in some cases we as Britains pay too much for our cars and I too am also up for a bargain. Please don't go assuming that because I choose to support my local dealer that I am jealous of your purchase. I have owned a couple of used import cars myself and am well aware of the issues of insurance and resales.

| Re: New VRs for £14,499 anyone? Depending on the age of the car I would guess that being an import will effect it, ie selling a 2 year old motor without any warrenty to run or with a years warrenty to run. As said before the spec will vary (all be it slightly) and in the case with Skodas some paper work and a admin fee are required to set up the factory warrenty that a main dealer may or may not help you with, also rightly or wrongly customer service (perceived or otherwise) as been noted to be affected by people on here in the past. Personally if the savings are massive I would be very tempted but at present DTD are offering a new vRS with 3 years warrenty and the freebies for £15.8k. £1300 for £900 of extras and an extra years warrenty etc, think I would stick with UK car ![]()

| Re: New VRs for £14,499 anyone? I'll happily support my local dealer if he offers best value. If he doesn't then I'll go elsewhere and if Motorpoint can offer best value then they'll get the business.
