| Re: Oct II VRS Phone Bluetooth? Just wondered... had a look at the install guide posted earlier in this thread and it looks too complicated for someone of my abilities (or lack thereof!) If I manged to get hold of the kit from VRStu, would the dealer be able to fit it for me? If so, what sort of cost would I be looking at? I have the maxidot already so this wouldn't be an issue. Incidentally, I also have a HTC in the form of the TyTn. I have got it to work with bluetooth kits before but they were hit and miss. I personally keep all my contacts on the phone as these get synced with my outlook at work. Hope this wouldn't be an issue if I went down the bluetooth route? Failing this, there's always the Parrot option but then I don't like seeing cables disappear into the dash, looks too amateurish for me! |

| Re: Oct II VRS Phone Bluetooth? That would be my ideal too! My local dealers say they wouldn't like to tackle it but does anyone know any one (in Scotland please) who can?

| Re: Oct II VRS Phone Bluetooth? Scott, i managed to follow the instructions with no probs, my wires are soldered to the cars radio wires as the only thing i had problems understanding was making these wires up with the extras you have to order from vw??? its also a good way of learning about your car too and this is all coming from someone who said the same as you at the start. |

| Re: Oct II VRS Phone Bluetooth? easiest and cheapest DIY option is a Bluetooth clip-on rearview mirror from ebay. Bluetooth Wireless Handsfree Rearview Mirror Car Kit - eBay Universal, Bluetooth Accessories, Mobile Home Phones (end time 19-Oct-07 20:25:15 BST) I have something similar at the moment and it is excellent (FM mode allows you to play through it through the radio) |

| Re: Oct II VRS Phone Bluetooth? Just fited the OEM Bluetooth which was supplied by VRStu. Excellent piece of kit. No trouble installing as the accompanying fitting instruction were excellent. Works seemlesly with the Sat Nav unit and crystal clear sound from the car speakers. Even with the window partially open the broadcast quality was crisp and clear with no ambient noise(according to the person receiving the call). I have had factory fit kits before but nothing which meets the sound quality of this unit. Highly recommended. Just needing coding now to incorporate it on the Maxdot. At £165 why bother with an aftermarket unit, plus no display to stick on your dash. Thanks Stu!
