Octane Booster

Here in Northern Ireland options of 98ron to run my VRS are very light on the ground as Tesco and Sainsburys dont do it here and Shell and BP only offer 97. In light of this to help free as many ponies as possible while the roads are dry I was thinking of getting some octane booster - am I wasting my time and money or is it better to just stick with BP uLTIMATE

personally i would stick to the normal bp ultimate, just because of the cost really. After you keep shoving the octane booster in it will cost you a fortune?

Re: Octane Booster

Octane booster isn't that expensive I used to use a bottle with every tank, when bought in bulk it works out around £2.50 a bottle and assuming you put in 50 litres at each fill up then that's 5p extra a litre which is around the difference between 95 and 97/98.
