| Octavia 1.8TFSi questions. Hello all. We are looking at getting an Octavia Estate (1.8TFSi Elegance) to replace our Golf V TDi DSG (kids, dogs etc). I don't seem to see much on the new 1.8TFSi on here, is it available yet in the UK? any feed back? Also , anyone have the Sports Suspension pack with 17's - recommended?? Costs $1,840 over here (Oz) , or approx 760 squid. Only other option we're looking at so far is the electric seats at $1,340. Thanks for any feedback

| Re: Octavia 1.8TFSi questions. Seems it is a relativley new engine then. I think we have it in the Audis here too. We are picking up a demo car on Tues for an overnight test, so will know more then!

| Re: Octavia 1.8TFSi questions. ive got a demo 1.8tfsi 160bhp here, and its brillaint!! its the sport model so it had slightly stiffer lower suspension on it, but we bunged the eibach kit on it ![]() i have to say its a lush engine, pulls away neatly and pulls hard and smoothly all the way up. it gets my thumbs up anyway ![]() if your refering toe the pegasus 17 inch wheels and suspension, go for it! the wheels and the slightly lower ride hieght really suit the Octy and the wheels themselves are a gorgeous design. the stiffer ride is bearly noticable, but i think it rides over bumps better than standard.

| Re: Octavia 1.8TFSi questions. Thanks mate, just what i wanted to hear, and yes its the Pegasus 17"s and spring drop. Do you know if the dampers and roll bar are changed too? Think it may be money well spent, especially if she's chipped later down the track..

| Re: Octavia 1.8TFSi questions. The car is actually badged TSI over here which is a tad confusing as it's different to the VW TSI unit but there you go................ A good review of it here: Skoda Octavia 1.8 TSI Elegance Review | Auto Express
