Octavia accessories

Just been looking at the Skoda web site and see that there is no rear mud flaps availible for the vRS! Is this true or are there rear ones available? (If any one has pics of the vRS II with mud flaps please post)Thanks

Also in the showroom I seen vRS carpet matts in their showcar I will be trying my hardest to get these for free when I pick my car up but these again are not listed in the accessories. Are these available as well.

Many thanks Jonnie

Re: Octavia accessories

Carpet mats are available on skoda's website £35 per set beige or grey - but you could try these on e-bay eBay.co.uk: Car Mats to fit Skoda Octavia (New) + New Logos (Black) (item 190082636871 end time 20-Feb-07 09:25:00 GMT)

For mud flaps - they are not available for the vRS from Skoda, I think it is to do with the style of the bumpers - but check out the Rally mud flaps thread here http://www.briskoda.net/forums/new-o...via-vrs/67247/ - set of four for £54 if you do the 'group buy'.

You won't need to try too hard - they come with the car.

He is absolutely correct.

Chris Ellis has OEM mudflaps fitted to his vRS.

Sorry; got this wrong!! OEM Skoda mudflaps can be made to fit. The front ones just screw straight on, back ones have to be put in a bucket of hot water to soften them, then a good push and they go on, put in the 3 screws and the job is done.

However; for a few extra quid the Rally Flaps are custom made for the vRS and available in different colours; IMHO worth the investment .

The Rallys are about 10cm longer and 2cm wider so will be better at diverting the dirt that will otherwise splash your car or others behind; plus they are available in different colours so can be styled to your car. They get my vote and at £54 (group buy) are reasonably priced.

Thanks. As for the matts on ebay, I bought a similar set for my current car and they are shaped to fit but never had the pin/screws to hold them down and always slipped around under my feet

As for the mud flaps I not a lover of the rally flaps sorry

Thanks for the input.

I might just try and use the hot water technique, when I receive my car.

Valid comment; This had occured to me, OE mats have those pin/screws to keep them in position.

Also I hadn't realised, as others have commented, that mats are standard for the vRS.
