Question Octavia Mk2 window re-assemby

Hi,
I have two passenger side windows to replace on a Mk2 Octy, what I have is the glass, runners wires and pieces of plastic, question is how I can re-assemble this lot? I didn't take it apart and don't have a diagram. I can see form the other doors that the components were riveted to the frame.

I seen that on my door when I had the door card off, seems a lot of hassle, but maybe easier to manufacturer.
I might have pictures which might show the rivet positions if thats any good. I could be wrong but IIRC theres a panel riveted to the door and then the components are riveted to that.

I'd love to see pictures of your install if you wouldn't mind, for future reference.

Thanks Gaff,
it will jolly well have to go back together somehow, I've got some technical manuals and been taking phots of this rebuild as I have gone along but my top tip to anybody would be don't drill all the rivets out in the first place!!!!

Oooh my, you have quite a job on your hands as I've seen first hand the internal workings of the electric window mechanism and it's dismantling and reassembly (due to a persistant annoying squeak!), it looked fairly straight forward but I think you may need proffessional tools/advice to do it.

Good luck with it

It miracuously cured itself and was fine for about six months although just recently I've noticed it's back again but not as audible and annoying as before!

Re: Octavia Mk2 window re-assemby

you sure its not the window seal, and the two runner guides? try spraying some silicone based product down there.

Did all that but no good + it's been dismantled three times and had TWO new complete runner assemblies fitted, it's also baffled two Master Tech's!
