| Octavia RS review in Autocar There's a full review of the new Octavia RS in today's Autocar magazine, and whilst they think it looks a bit understated they rave about the rest of it. Don't have the mag with me for quotes but if you're in any doubt about buying a new RS then go and take a look at this review! |

| Briskodian | Bought this for a look. Anyone who is worried about the look of the front of the car should buy this.It looks great. It also looks low, chunky and solid. Some great (probably the best so far) pics that do it some justice. The front on shots in another thread are just pants. Even the racing blue colour.I was not impressed when people were getting excited.I thought its just, well, blue.Looks almost R32 blue from the pics though. Enjoyed the write up too.Must get EVO today |

![]() Just as a comaprison I would like to see a review comparing the handling of the old vRS (aways a weak point I felt) with the new one. From all accounts the new one is substantially better. and I did chukle at the comparison with the Audi. | |

| The press keep going on about this being the fastest Skoda ever etc. Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't the performance figures just the same as the old Vrs? |

| Briskodian | From another tread The magazine Bilsport did a test on the new Octavia when two new RS was in Sweden after the Frankfurt motorshow. They tested it on a superstage liked the one in the Top Gear television program you have in UK. The new Octy is the fasted frontwheel drive car they have ever tested on the track. Even faster than Volvo S60R and the Golf R32. They think it´s a alterantiv to Volvo S40/V50 T5, Saab 9-3 2.0T and Audi A4 2.0T. After the event they ship the cars back to the factory. 0-62mph 7,14sec 0-402m 15,07sec Last edited by Gula faran; 07-08-2006 at 18:30. |

| I liked this comment..... There are nippy Octavias and brisk Octavias and then there’s the vRSWonder where they got that from!
