| Octavia Sport A Sporty Package for the New Octavia Škoda Auto offers a sporty tuning package designed for the new Škoda Octavia liftback version. The tuning package has been made ready by the Škoda Design Centre. It is offered to customers as part of a range of the original Škoda accessories and intended particularly for potential customers interested in an individually modified, sports-tuned car. The package includes front and rear bumper spoilers, a fifth door spoiler, and a fishtail trim. By contrast with the production version, the front of the modified Octavia has a bulkier air intake aperture at the bottom part of the bumper. There are special self-adhesive reflective foils, the so-called cat’s eyes, placed on the rear bumper spoiler. The optical package makes the car appear markedly more attractive and besides, it is also fully functional. Optimization of aerodynamic properties resulted in an increase in coefficient of aerodynamic drag (Cx) to a value of 0.291 (Cx for the production car is 0.3). The offer for the optical tuning package is completed with new 17" Sputnik light-alloy wheels designed for 225/45 R17 tyres. Further information about the individual components of the branded package and the ways how to mount them on the Octavia cars can be found at Škoda authorized dealers’ or on the web site http://www.skoda-auto.com, section Accessories. | That looks pretty nice to me. I like the wheels and front bumper. The exhaust looks good atthe back but I'm not entirely convinced by the lights/reflectors/red bits on the rear bumper. Wonder how much this lot will cost?

| The Bronze & Silver cars I think are two different cars as in if you look at the back bumper their is a cut out for the exhaust on one but not the other, or is their a black section on the bottom of the bumper of the bronze one? |

On a more serious note , a 2.0TDI elegance is 16.4k , so 17k wouldn't be too bad an increase for the sportier bodywork.

| Just looked at Autobytel and they're showing prices for the Octavia Sport as follows: 2.0FSI Sport £16,005 2.0TDI Sport £16,890 2.0TDI Sport DSG £17,890 They're also showing prices and equipment levels for the new L&K!

| A 2.0TDI sport for £500 more than an elegance. I like the sound of that a lot , especially as just the 17" wheels and sports suspension adds £400 to the elegance price. I'll be interested to see how the rest of the spec compares. Ah , just thought , are those list prices or after discount prices?

| Looking in more detail at Autobytel, it looks as if the Sport is based on the Ambiente rather than the Elegance, as it doesn't have rain sensing wipers/auto dimming mirrors/dual-zone climate control or rear parking sensors. If the 2.0FSI sport is £16,005 and the 2.0FSI Ambiente is £14,415 that's £1,590 for the spoilers. Seems a bit pricey to me.

| So, are we going to be looking at an 18-19K vRS then? That's scary money. That's shop around at other marques money.

| 18k certainly looks to be the minimum , although a 5 door golf is over 20k You are getting a bigger car for 10% less so it's still good value for money , just not the huge bargain the current vrs is (pretty sure I saw them for 13k at one of my local dealers)
