| Re: octavia vrs diesal compaired 2petrol vrs OK - Fabia vRS - all I can say is that the oomph with a diesel is where you need it. No dropping down a gear, no revving the nuts of it, no crazy exhaust sound. Quietly, efficiently - it has gone past the car in front Boy racer - no. Supa cool, effortless, yes

| Re: octavia vrs diesal compaired 2petrol vrs I had the 2.0 TFSI VRS for 6 months, changed to the 170PS TDI VRS in May. I have had the DPF warning light come up once, I got stuck behind some old codger doing 20mph for about 4 miles, in a built up area, and dut to traffic couldn't get past. Soon cleared it with a blast down the A500 though. My average MPG for the Petrol was 28. The average MPG in the TDI is currently 39.4 Although the TDI seems to sound more sporty, it does sound rough as **** when cold, and TBH I prefered the TFSI for performance. I had a G-max accelerometer in it (supposedly accurate to 1 tenth of a second) and got a 6.33s 0-60, very slightly uphill and it was spinning quite a bit too!

| Re: octavia vrs diesal compaired 2petrol vrs My dad's currently got the same problem.. he's been looking for a new car to replace his 05 plate Mundaneo 2.0 Zetec with He had a look at the new Mundaneo (Ghia, 2.0 TDI or 2.3 petrol) and he likes it, but it's a bit expensive. He's also gonna look at the Octy due to the good service I got when I bought my car, and because he likes the look of it. Just gotta figure out petrol or diesel! In my Fabia, the MPG is good, the torque is good... but sometimes I miss the 7,000 RPM redline of my old Lupo! |
