Octavia VRS pedal position

I searched but nothing fitted my query.

I have a VRS that is 3 months old now and it seems that the position of the clutch pedal or the action of pressing it is aggravating my left knee . To me the pedals are positioned too high generally but I can deal with the brake pedal.

I have a friend who has just bought a 1.9TDI Octavia so I will compare with him but I just wondered what other people thought

I will also be speaking to my dealer as I hope there is something that can be done otherwise roll on petrol VRS with DSG.

Re: Octavia VRS pedal position

Not noticed the clutch but first thought was that either the seat or the steering wheel where not 'square' ( no wheel jokes allegro etc) but wife thinks its fine so could be me that 'lays' to one side in seat. Not been allowed to drive it much so may not have had seat position perfect cos got shoulder ache in left side from resting arm on rest. seat too high? Sill enjoyed the 200 mile or so trip tho.

Re: Octavia VRS pedal position

I've noticed my right foot catching the side of the brake pedal sometimes when i move my foot to brake. seems the brake pedal for some stupid reason sits slightly higher.

Brake pedal is higher on all cars I think, to avoid accidently catching/pressing brake when accellerating.

Re: Octavia VRS pedal position

If the pedals are too high then try wearing bigger shoes or put some newspapers under the floor mats.

If anything I find the gas pedal to be too close to me and at a high angle such that light acceleration is less comfortable than full throttle!

I find that too but it's got nothing to do with the height of the pedals

Size 13 feet
I have moved the seat and it seems better. I guess time will tell however I would still like a DSG box
