Octy 2 needs splitting

After reading most of the problems with the Octy, I have come to the conclusion that most are to do with the 140 BHP ones, so could the admin split this into 2, one for the 1.9 and another for the 140

The Octy 2 section covers all Octavia 2 models.

Why?

Do we have a section for every engine? It covers all of the Octy II, much as the Octy I and Fabia I sections cover all of those models.

Re: Octy 2 needs splitting

i've got a 1.9 105 fabia to look forward to while skoda have my gear box out of my vRS, going from 200bhp to 105bhp is going to be a culture shock though its got power and torque on its side

Re: Octy 2 needs splitting

Then, let's separate forums by our car's colours...
Maybe by tyre brands as well...
Then hatchback and estate...

Re: Octy 2 needs splitting

My car has two trye brands (don't worry they are one brand per axle!)

Would the engine discussions be filed under AVON and the variable boot floor discussion be filed under CONTI?

Do I have a good TDI or a bad TDI?

Please someone help, so I can book the priest to perform any exorcism required.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Octy 2 needs splitting

Yours is bad as it is breathing 204bhp

Ohh actually better have a section for standard and non standard of each varient and colour and brand and trim level and other such.

16v or you can't come in, or would we want to include the 2.0 TDI 8v's too?

It's a bit mean to mock this suggestion as unmercifully as some have!
Better to come up with arguments why you disagree.
I think the basis for the split that Skippy41 suggests is wrong and maybe in practice there's no clear way of splitting, but there's no doubt Octy 2 is a very busy area and it can take a long time to read all the threads and judge their relevance to your own interests.
Splitting by engine/spec obviously wouldn't work as so many issues are not version specific (let alone by colour, tyres, what's in the boot, driver's haircut or other creative suggestions the more humorous posters can provide!) but I guess in principle there could be themes such as mechanical problems and enquiries, dealers and buying, modding etc. OK too difficult to do in practice! But you get my drift: at least worth giving consideration to a poster's suggestion!

Of course people could always use the Search facility within the Octy2 forum

For example http://briskoda.net/search/result-3482168/

That was really hard, I think I will have a lie down now
