Octy 2 Questions

Good evening all,

Well - the gween Furby is going and an Octy 2.0TDi Elegance is replacing it! I have two little questions though please:

1) I'm intrigued by the 'Blue Storm Metallic' paint (or is it Deep Sea Blue met? The paler one!), but have yet to find a photograph of a car in that colour! Does anyone on here have a photo? It looks quite similar to the vRS Race Blue in the brochure, a colour which I am very fond of.

2)I've been told by the salesman that typical build times for a factory car (it will be, I've got a few options lined up ) is 8 to 12 weeks. Is this a genuine figure, or can it take a lot longer? I'm thinking of selling my car before then (hence paying off the loan in prep for the lease fee for the new car, rather than have both payments coming out at the same time) and using my dad's until the Octy arrives, but I don't want to be in that situation for too long if the new car gets delayed by months.

Thanks.

Re: Octy 2 Questions

8 to 12 weeks sounds about right. Was told I might have to wait 3 months for my vRS factory order, but it came in about 2 months.

Re: Octy 2 Questions

Thanks for the help.

Colour depends on what this Blue Storm is like tbh. Black magic unless persuaded otherwise.

Black is great but a pita to keep clean and swirl free. That's why I went for silver.

Same here. The lease company said it was up to me but they have found black magic paint to be a lot more susceptable to scratches etc and i've since seen what they mean on other peoples cars.

Yep. As I said at the weekend, it's entirely your fault.

Ordered today: Octy 2 2.0tdi in black magic, xenons, multifunction steering wheel, maxidot, lowered suspension, 17" wheels.

Just got the 12 week wait now.

Re: Octy 2 Questions

Decided that I preferred black. Seriously though, found an octy classic in the 'blue storm' colour at a dealer when I was on my travels today and I didn't like it that much. I know black is a PITA to keep clean, but when it's clean . . . it's ace.
Always wanted a black car anyway! Can't wait for the octy to arrrive!
