The Octy has landed!

Got the car today! So far driven 100 miles since I left work at 3:30pm.

The comfort is superb, and me liking the engine (although it is very different to drive compared to my furby). Still learning all the toys, but so far I'm very impressed!
Managed to average 53mpg on a tootle around where my fabia usually see's mid to high 60's, but still, the engine is new!

Pictures to follow as and when it's light.

Re: The Octy has landed!

It's just the agonising break-in period though! I can't wait until the engine is broken in.

Glad you like your car
Have you been up that nice twisty road near you yet?
They do "fly" up that road quiet well

Re: The Octy has landed!

Yes I've already been up the C&F road twice lol, but as I'm not pushing the engine hard yet, I had to carry my speed through the bends to keep a reasonable pace up . . . what a shame.

Might go out for another drive soon lol.

Point re the xenons, I've not had a problem with mine? They are adjusting correctly and seem to be at the right level too. Main beam . . hmm lol, I'm not so sure - I think they might be a bit out!!

Re: The Octy has landed!

Just got back from a 31 mile drive.

The Octy is a superb A-road cruiser! Really eats the miles well. Despite my cruising "fairly quickly" I still managed 47mpg! Not bad for a car with 150 miles on the clock lol.

Re: The Octy has landed!

I did consider a Superb actually at one point! The Octy better fits my needs though.

I'm going easy for the first 500 miles, then I'm going to revisit a certain local twisty road.
