That looks like a vRS lower bumper that's had Fabia intakes Photoshopped on...

Looks like the Sport front end now! Prefer the round fogs on the current VRS. The fogs now look like the rest of the range!

Re: Octy II facelift

Just a prelude to the New model which I believe will be launched in 2010. Anyone placed their order yet?

It does say it is a rendering, so I am guessing it is not necessarily going to look like that picture.

Cancel the order till July and ya might save a few pound, both on VRT and on Road Tax, depending on the CO2 levels. might be worth checking out

Dunno, I referred to July above as its whyen ourt VRT (Vehicle Registration Tax) changes in Eire, and is based on CO2 emissions.

VRT may go up instead of down in July , and that side of things would not worry me as much as having a car that is clearly an "Older" model, and wwondering about what spec changes there will be, usually with a face-life the spec will rise on most cars

I could be wrong but from here Vrt Changes - Co2 Rating From July - VAGdrivers.net - sponsored by Newmarket Motors Ltd - Main VW Audi dealers - (029) 60100

The 1.8TFSI looks like its 176 g/kg Skoda Auto Deutschland GmbH
it says the VRT rate will go from 25% to 28% as Band E 171 - 190 g = 28%, and the road tax will have gone from 484 last year to 530 for the start of 2008 to Band E (171-190 grams per km) € 600 after July.

So maybe a lot better buying it now.

Btw I was in garage the other day. The S100 is getting a few bits done/checked over....still looks the business. Mark had it out for a run and seemed very happy with his purchase Looked cool seeing the Rapid and the S100 in together, I think the 2 lads were having a show and shine contest

Re: Octy II facelift

Maybe I am out of kilter here, but this series of posts rather remind me of the 'Emperor's New Clothes'. The 'rendering' is the front end of a present Octavia with a different lower bumper. The headlights aren't new, no new grille and so no changes. Is everyone seeing something I am not?
The mid life change will almost certainly see a Roomster/Fabia/Superb style grille and headlamps. The photo here shows nothing of the sort.

Re: Octy II facelift

The best thing they could do for the Mk11 is make it look like a Mk1 and lower the price, put some daylight between the Mondeo. Cos at the moment there is no contest inside or out.
