| Octy II - Simply the Best? It may not be the 'fastest', it may not be the 'prettiest, it may not be the most 'economical', it may not be the most 'reliable', but boy oh boy do I love my car! ![]() Having just returned from our family anual jaunt with all the parafenalia associated with a camping holiday piled in the boot and at leisurely pace easily achieving low 30's mpg (let's ignore the gearbox incident for a moment!) and then again today with an early morning blast up to Silverstone including a cross country blat achieving 17.8 mpg and some s p e e d on the Brisky pilgrimage to Trax which included a short but most enjoyable track session of the grand prix circuit (11.9 mpg ![]() ) and now it's ready for the rigours of being work 'repmobile'!For a sub £20k car (if you'll excuse the £5k or so on mods), there is nothing that comes close imo, love it!

So you have gotten your enthusiasm back for the car by the sound of it?! ![]() Ive had a good couple of days with the car and I echo your feelings. Admittedly it isnt standard but for a sub 20k family hold all I think its the one of the best kept secrets out there. Oh and I achieved 34mpg on the way to JKM last week. Unfortunatly Jim took the car for a test drive and that plummeted to 25mpg average in five minutes ![]() Lee

| Re: Octy II - Simply the Best? I'm inclined to agree. If you want a brand new car for under £18k, its hard to beat for what it does. ![]()
