| Wondered if anyone had experienced something similar and got it sorted? When my RS is cold and getting it out the garage it shudders very very very slightly when the rpm returns back to idle. If you give it a good one off rev the problem goes....... but can continue later in journeys at lights for example. By now means is it really noticeable, i just keep up on slight things. Also every now and again a here a knocking round the passenger side off the car like i have something rolling in my glove box. Any help would be great as my local garage cant find anything. Cheers ![]() |

| Scousemouse's diagnosis is full-on valid - it's a design issue - so I don't understand the total idiot comment? And don't thrash your motor when cold ![]()

| I have the same problem and when I've got the time I'm going to try cleaning the throttle body and replacing the famous intercooler pipe. Edit: Just noticed you have a MKII. Sorry.

| I had the same problem on mine that was found and fixed, but shan't bother telling you if you've got an attitude like that.

| Would it be the door card by any chance, I found there was a noise from mine.....pressing just in front of speaker seem to make it stop. Then I put a cloth between door and side of dash and closed door. The dealer has looked at it a couple of times but I don't think its 100% yet. Btw Mainly noticable on Concrete type estate roads. But have found it making noise on twisty backroads.
