| Hi all, the beep is really boring to me, especially when I pray that my two babies keep sleeping... Do you know where it is, so that I can definitely shut it off (or highly dampen it)? Thank you,

| The volume of the beep can be changed with VAG-COM, I have done this on my Fabia II

| im sure you can turn it off with the stream headunit, in the settings theres an option to turn beep off, i believe that should have the desired effect as i have mine turned on and thats the only beep my car ever makes

| I'd need to check the manual or when I'm next in the car but thought pdc volume was to decrease volume of radio when engaging reverse gear so you can concentrate better. Set this up when I got the car and haven't touched it. Guess you could always just park on an uphill section or a drive thru' space to avoid reverse gear altogether ![]() It's all in the second or third screen after pressing the music note symbol then the > button once or twice.

| Just to repeat once more the beep stays. ![]() The PDC controls radio volume not beep volume. Anyone knows where is located the f....g buzzer? Sooner or later I'll get rid of it! ![]()

http://img108.mytextgraphics.com/pho...-48xgq1w49.jpg I was reversing today to my garage and remembered your problem, As soon as it started to beep, I pressed the button and it muted the "beep, beep", so I kept reversing and sound didn't come back. You have that button, don't you, if your car came with factory sensors. Also, I guess there is the way to dissable it via VagCom.

| Whats the point of having Parking Sensors if they don't beep? The beeper is AFAIK located somewhere in the rear three quarters, nearside I think, of the car behind the boot linings. Shouldn't be too difficult to locate it; put some tape over one of the senors, ignition on, select reverse, get the beeper and start listening. Once located; wrap the beeper in some cotton wool with tape for security to muffle the beep. Job done?

| The initial beep is designed to give you an indication that the sensors are working. As has been said before the volume can be altered. As for the button on the dash, that is only fitted if you have front sensors on the car.

| Thank you all, @Bosnjo and VRStu: I'm pretty sure I have not the "P" button, even if car was factory fitted with rear parking sensors (so VRStu is right, strange isn't it?). So, assuming Skoda saved on that button, would it be possible to try to remove the button and find a tab under it, remove and get the button magically muting the beep? (a-la climatronic off tweak?). @bahnsormer_vrs: The car was standard factory fitted with them. I never used nor needed parking sensors (even if the beautiful painted bumpers worried me a bit). Besides they're set up at a threshold which is unreal for our "average" parkings. Not owning a VAG-COM I decided to physically look for the buzzer and dampen it. Thanks for the suggestion on its possible position.
