Default shark fin arial

Has anyone fitted/replaced a shark fin arial to thier octy yet. if so was if a straight forward affair. I have seen one on e-bay and always fancied one. looks pretty good.

done it on my superb. it looks pretty nice but the radio receptions' crappy...

Don't touch them (Sharkfin Antennas that is) they are rubbish...If any doubters please buy and fit, you will soon see!

Yes reception is crap with the shark fin aerial but i didn't buy mine for that reason,i don't like bee sting aerials and think shark fins look better so mine is for cosmetic reasons only plus i don't listen to radio anyway so i'm not missing out on anything

This is mine: FM reception is marginally better than if you unscrew the standard aeriel. It's fine on MW, and OK on FM although I'm missing XFM in Manchester in low signal areas. I think it looks cool, mind!

Surely fitting one must be a real bitch of a job? Don't you have to run the co-ax all the way to the head unit, meaning head lining removal, or can it be done without removing the head lining?
