| Silly Question Sorry for the daft question but I am a bit confused over opening the doors on my new Octavia. About 4 weeks ago I took delivery of a 2.0 TDI Elegance which I am thrilled with. However, on some occaisions when I try to open the passenger doors it can take several clicks of the remote to actually open all the doors. On my old car (03 plate Vectra) one click would open the drivers door and the second click would open the rest. I quite like being able to open the drivers door on it's own (for the obvious safety reasons) but I am sure that it should not take four or five clicks of the remote to open the rest. Any help/advice would be gratefully received. Steve |

| Re: Silly Question Single Unlock - is a feature that has been enabled on your car, some do have it switched on and some don't. Simple coding change by somone with VAG-COM or your dealer will turn it off. The correct operation is one click for the drivers and a second, almost immediately, to open the rest.

| Re: Silly Question Can also be changed through the Maxidot (if you have it fitted). Personally, I have all doors unlock as normal off the remote, but automatically lock when I get to about 10mph when I drive off. |

| Go Gadget Octy! | Re: Silly Question You need to press twice (click click - wont work if long pause between) to unlock all doors. Or, unlock the drivers door, then hit the door button in the centre console. Took a little getting used to when I first activated it on maxidot (under convienience) |

| Re: Silly Question Thanks for the advice. I did not seem to have this problem with the Vectra. One click, drivers door opened, two clicks, the rest of the doors, no matter how long you left it before you made the second click. Like you say, I suppose it takes a bit of getting used to. Thanks again Steve ![]() |
