skoda 4x4 turbo estate, gear knob, roof bars, trim

hi all
have just purchased my second octavia estate 4x4 turbo, 2004. This was an ex police car and has some bits i wanna tidy up. I want to replace the roof bars with my old ones, the black trim on the right hand side of roof is messy and i wanna take this off and replace with trim from my other car (now defunct) and finally i want to replace the gear knob which is tatty and badly scuffed. Does anyone know if this is straightforward (i dont have a clue how to get gear knob off?) and if the roof trim pops out and back in and if roof bars are straight forward to fit. Also can i remove the cd player from my old car and replace into new vehicle?
any help would be brilliant
cheers

Your Octavia is an Octavia I.
You'll need a moderator to move your thread into the other section.

The Octavia 4x4 Estate should have roof rails standard.

You can fit your old CD headunit into the 4x4 providing you have the radio code for that unit.

Yes all very 'doable' with the correct tools and patience.
