Skoda assembly.

Hi

In addition to Czech Republic, Škoda cars are made in the following countries correct. So is there some sort of code or mark on the car to say which plant actually assembled the car.?? The question concerns all Skoda, but in our case its the Octy 2. 1.9tdi pd estate 4x4 version, if anyone can throw some light on the matter.

Re: Skoda assembly.

Octavia II is built in the following factories -

Vrchlabi - CZ (Mainly RS models)
Mlada Boleslav - CZ
Aurangabad - India
Solomonovo - Ukraine

The factory code is the 11th digit of the chassis number.

Re: Skoda assembly.

Thank you Stu very much for that info, very helpful indeed. Mlada Boleslav must be number 2 because it is the 2nd factory Skoda CZ built I suppose. There is 100 yrs of history for you !!! great.
