| Skoda Assistance My Octavia is almost 3 years old and my free Skoda Assistance Policy is about to expire. Skoda are offering to renew the policy for £89 for 1 year or £145 for 2 years, but as I have RAC Membership included with my car insurance policy, is it worth paying extra just for the 'Skoda trained technicians using specilaist Skoda parts and tools' ? I would be interested to know what others have done.

| Re: Skoda Assistance Quote:
My last car was a Toyota and it was about £55 a year for full RAC membership, although as you have said, most insurance companies offer some form of breakdown cover and if you pay for your insurance monthly you can normally spread the cost of the breakdown cover too.

| Briskodian | Re: Skoda Assistance Britannia Rescue are good and cheap as I get a discount. If you PM ScoobyChris he had a very cheap German company too that my German friends rate highly.

| Re: Skoda Assistance Why not investigate how much an extra year's warranty costs? It may include breakdown cover in the price. I have done this in the past with VW cars and it was worthwhile.

| Re: Skoda Assistance Thanks for the replies. After speaking to Skoda Assistance I have decided not to renew their policy. I'll rely on the RAC cover that comes with my car insurance.
