More stuff on the official Skoda website about it too (but still in Czech I'm afraid):

http://www.skoda-auto.com/cze/model/octaviars/rest/

Hmm actually on further investigation I don't think that's about the TDI vRS but just the normal petrol vRS - d'oh! My Czech is clearly a bit too pants.

I don't know any Czech but if you click on technical specification, or Czech equivalent you can see the words turbodiesel and 125KW with 170 in brackets. Above, for the petrol the figure in brackets is 200.

Therefore we now know it is a 170 bhp turbodiesel in the vRS

How long does it normally take for new models to make it to the UK? Anyone know, as it may make me feel better if it's a long time.

Is it likely to cost more than the petrol?

I think speculation is that it will be £1000-1500 more than the petrol

I remember seeing a press release when the petrol RS was launched, indicating a 170bhp diesel was set to join the line up in the second half of this year. Now that is the car I want.... please bring it out with a DSG option Skoda!!!

The price in Czech is for the TFSI estate 794 900 and for the TDI estate 819 900 as you can see in the pic. 25 000 more for TDI in Czech money.
