| Briskodian | Re: Soundproofing - Any Suggestions? When driving, I hear most: - engine noise in front of me (wondering whether insulating engine hood would help); - windy noise from roof (I think generated by bars). BTW should one remove them, how could cope with the holes left? - perhaps something from door panels. Anybody else? Stefano |

| Briskodian | Re: Soundproofing - Any Suggestions? I have installed the Octy 2 estate Noise Killer kit myself last saturday. This kit included lots of precut insulation materials (but some needed slight trimming): 1)Self adhesive pads to go under the bonnet insulation - an easy bit to start with. 2)Thick pads to go under passenger, driver and rear floor carpets (driver side is awkward due to accelerator pedal being attched to the floor - but by cutting the pad in half lengthways and making a cut in the carpet out of sight under the seat I was able to slide the pad halves under the carpet) 3)Self adhesive pads for rear wings and rear wheel arches. 4)Self adhesive pads for spare wheel space. 5)Self adhesive pads for boot floor - I used some extra here to cover most of the floor area (left over from some work done on my old Fabia) 6)Heavy thick insulation sheet for boot floor (goes under boot carpet and lifts up with it to access spare tyre) 7)Self adhesive pads for door outside skins - not done these yet as you need to remove main speaker from door carrier to gain access and they are revitted I think. I would recommend doing this in warm weather when the materials are more pliable. I had to remove alot of the rear trim - but its quite easy following the manual and it all goes back easy too. No plastic clips were broken during this exercise. ![]() IMHO a significant improvement has been achieved. Im happy. ![]()
