| Spare Key Although I have 2 flip keys for my Octavia II I am tempted to get a third key to hide on the car "just in case" as I have with many previous vehicles over the years. Intensive searches on here and elsewhere indicate that I have 3 viable options: Get a new key from a dealer - £160 Get a new key from an auto locksmith - £80 Go the Ebay/other route for parts and cutting, and borrow/buy VAG-COM for programming the transponder. Earlier this week I was talking with the Parts man at a dealers. He called up my car details on his screen and quoted me a price for a complete flip key at £75 (VAT incl.). He said that this key "should be" already coded on arrival. He could even order the front end - blade/transponder - if I already had the remote part. I am wondering why there are so many references to £160 in view of this quote? At the moment, buying from this chap seems the easiest method. |

| Re: Spare Key You can have up to 8 keys with Immo IV. Be wary of used keys for Octy II as it is designed to not accept them. It is also designed to only accept Skoda ones.
